In response to a need for protection during long-distance transport of blanks, OSMI developed a protective packaging system for a pinnit pallet of blanks covered with a moisture-resistant protective cover manufactured with a vapor phase corrosion inhibitor. Desiccant bags are placed inside an additional outside protective cover to absorb any moisture and to reduce the humidity. This specialized packaging permits safe delivery by rail without damage from moisture or other contaminants.
